The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) are the fundamental rights each person are believed to be born with. 

 

Knowing  the UDHR provides students with the opportunity of understanding how governments are supposed to treat all of their people. It also encourages students to treat others with respect and dignity. This activity requires students to form their own opinions on Human Rights.

 

This 52-page activity packet includes an introduction to the UDHRs, the preamble, 30 worksheets which highlight each of the 30 articles of the declaration with a writing prompt, 10 reading comprehension questions, a quiz, note pages, a word search activity, a list of human rights organizations, a glossary and answer keys.
